Ben Johnson set out as Chicago Bears head coach with a simple goal: keep them from ever checking under the floorboard. They must never know. Never know . But before that, he had a different, more palatable goal: set the record for the highest-scoring offense in NFL history. The Bears are playing their 107th season. There are 32 teams. To have the audacity to plant your flag and set your sights on the greatest ever is frankly equally crazy. That being said, he's going for it. So far, anyways. Here, we'll live-update the Bears against the NFL record of 37.9 points per game set by the 2013 Denver Broncos when they scored 606 points across 16 games (37.875 points per game). To beat it, they'll have to score 644:
